It is our top priority to ensure that every customer's transaction data is kept secure. Card details are only processed by our payment gateway provider, Commidea, and therefore no card details are stored on our servers. Commidea have a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Certificate of Compliance Level 1, which is the highest level of compliance. Consideration of others— Visitors are required to be considerate of other users and not to disturb them with their behaviour. Please be aware that talking loudly can disturb others so please talk quietly.
— Mobile phones and pagers must be turned off or on silent mode when in the search rooms.
— Please treat ScotlandsPeople staff with courtesy and respect.
— Any person under the influence of drink or drugs will be refused access.
— ScotlandsPeople staff reserve the right to refuse access to or remove from the premises anyone whose behaviour is likely to cause alarm or distress. Age Restrictions — Details of age restrictions are available in our Terms and Conditions page.
Eating and drinking
— Customers are not allowed to eat or drink in the search rooms. There is a café to purchase refreshments or if you have brought your own lunch you can sit in the garden area outside (weather permitting!).
Coats and Bags
— There is no cloakroom to store coats but there will be coat stands in all search rooms. Bags can either be stored in lockers or kept under desks as long as they don't protrude or cause inconvenience to other visitors. Extra large bags or suitcases must be stored outwith the Centre.
Liability
— ScotlandsPeople Centre accepts no liability for any loss or damage to personal property whilst in the centre. Items are brought into the Centre at the visitors own risk.
