Dundas Room

On leaving the Matheson Dome you enter the corridor leading to the archivist's garden with a pathway leading to the Dundas Room. The Dundas Room is the only search room in the ScotlandsPeople Centre located in New Register House.

Floor plan

The Dundas Room has space for over 30 day searchers. Professional searchers and genealogists with season tickets are also located here. (Click on floor plan to enlarge)

If the Centre is very busy, searchers may be placed here.

Other facilities

Two adjustable desks are also in the Dundas Room suitable for wheelchair users. If you would like to use one of these desks please book them before your visit to ensure they are available. There is also a microfiche/film reader which can be used to view film or fiche if the digitised image is of a very poor quality.

The Reference Library is located here, as are microfiche/microfilm units.
