— The Centre has been designed so that all facilities are accessed on one level.
— To go to the
Adam Dome or
Reid Room use the West Entrance where there is a chair lift;
or alternatively, use the garden entrance to the
Matheson Dome.
— To go to the
Matheson Dome use the Garden Entrance to the Dome.
— To go to the

3. Toilets
Disabled Toilets are located between the shop area and the Adam Dome on the right hand side as you enter the building. Two additional Disabled toilets are located in New Register House next to the
Café.
4. Large screens
There is one large screen in every search room, except the Matheson Dome, for visitors who may have difficulty using traditional sized monitors. In addition there are two screens in every room which have software installed allowing the monitor to take on a "negative appearance". If you would like one of these screens please let staff know of your requirements before your visit so the correct seat can be made available to you. Size of text can be enlarged on all computers.
5. Adjustable seats
There are five adjustable desks suitable for wheelchair users in the search rooms. One in the
Adam Dome and two each in the
Reid Room and
Dundas Room. Because of the design of the desks it was not possible to have such a desk in the
Matheson Dome. If you require one of these desks please contact staff before your visit so one can be made available to you. In addition all counters are designed for wheelchair users.
6. Low level lockers for wheelchair use
7. All helpers are permitted free access to the Centre
Helpers accompanying disabled persons will be admitted free of charge and given a second seat at the terminal of the disabled
visitor. Disabled persons may be required to provide evidence of their disabled status.
8. Induction loops have been installed at all counters
9. Staff training
Members of staff have attended customer care courses.
The GROS Disability Equality Scheme will apply to ScotlandsPeople.
