Printing/Saving Images
At the centre it will be possible to print images of the records or save images to a memory stick.
Restrictions
There are certain restrictions on what can be printed or saved however. The following records may be viewed at the centre but will NOT be able to be printed or saved.
— Births less than 100 years old.
— Marriages less than 75 years old.
— Deaths less than 50 years old.
— Publications in the e-Library.
Payment
— All prints must be paid for in advance either to the supervisor or through the terminal.
— Credit is added to your account once payment is made and taken off as you print or save images.
— Payment can be made through cash or credit/debit cards.
Printers
— There will be on average one printer for every five or six terminals and the printers will be situated at the end of a row of desks (Reid Room) or amongst a group of five or six desks (Matheson Dome and Dundas Room). Printers in the Adam Dome are located in an alcove to the side of the Dome. Each terminal is allocated to a specific printer so familiarise yourself with your printer before you start copying.
— You will not be able to create a shopping basket of prints so once you have printed a copy collect it from the printer.
Saving images to USB sticks
— Images can be saved to USB sticks. You can either use your own or purchase one in the ScotlandsPeople shop.
